Update on Jett Travolta's death

John Travolta's house in the Bahamas where his son Jett died
I found the following link from TMZ. It appears that there was some blood on the bathroom floor. They now think that he died from his head hitting the toilet, or the bathtub.

They are also explaining that Jett was monitored by a baby monitor, and not left alone. It was his nanny that found him. He had two nannies.

Obama voting "present" again?

I just found this article, here, and I agreed with everything that was said. I would like to add a few things to it.

Obama is going to be the President in a few weeks. With all the problems that are going on, my prayers are for him. I want him to succeed.

He seems to have trouble making up his mind. See my other article on this topic.

My main gripe about Obama, is the way the media has a love-affair with him. It has gotten to the point of being sickening. Have they never heard of "over-kill?" I say enough already. The pictures of him without a shirt on, are sickening also. I find them grose.

I grant you if he were a Republican, the media wouldn't be doing all this. They would be all over him everytime he took a deep breath. I just hope that with this "love-fest" going on, that it doesn't effect him in doing his job as President of the United States.

What are your thoughts on this?

Thousands of shoes were dumped on a Miami expressway

Check out the pictures here.

MIAMI — Thousands of shoes were dumped this morning on a Miami expressway. It caused a significant backup in traffic.

Lt. Pat Santangelo of the Florida Highway Patrol recieved the report during rush hour traffic Friday morning. A front-end loader and a dump truck were brought by a private contractor to the half-mile stretch of highway.

Workers were able to clear at least one lane after a short time by sweeping all the shoes to shoulder, but delays were expected to last until all the shoes could be removed.

Lt. Santangelo said the shoes were used and most of them were tied together in pairs, making it more difficult to pick them up in a hurry. He says he is looking for a charity to give the shoes to, instead of sending them to the dump.

Santangelo said that he isn't sure where the shoes came from. There were no signs of a crash, and no one has claimed them yet.

Anti-Israel group pickets Obama Residence

KAILUA, Hawaii – A small group of placard-waving pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered near U.S. President-elect Barack Obama's vacation retreat in Hawaii on Tuesday to protest against the Israeli airstrikes in Gaza.

Obama has made no public comment on the strikes, which Israel launched on Saturday. Aides have repeatedly said he is monitoring the situation and continues to receive intelligence briefings but that there is only one U.S. president at a time.

But with outgoing Republican President George W. Bush already viewed as a lame-duck, many people, particularly in the Middle East, are looking past him to Obama, who is due to be sworn in on January 20, for leadership.

Obama did speak out after the attacks on the Indian city of Mumbai in November in which gunmen killed nearly 180 people, condemning them as acts of terrorism.

He has also spoken on the economic problems facing the United States.

"He is talking about how many jobs he is going to create but he is refusing to speak about this," said one of the protesters, Carolyn Hadfield, 66.

She was one of eight protesters standing with placards reading "No U.S. support for Israel" and "Gazans need food and medicine, not war" near Obama's rented vacation home in Kailua, an upmarket suburb on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, where he is in the second week of a vacation with his family.

Obama did not acknowledge the protesters when his motorcade drove past to take him to play basketball at his old school. He stared straight ahead sipping from a bottle of water.

"The president-elect values citizen participation in our nation's foreign policy, but there is one president at a time, and we intend to respect that," said Brooke Anderson, his chief national security spokesperson.

Obama has in the past called Israel one of the United States' greatest allies and has vowed to ensure the security of the Jewish state.

He has also said he would make a sustained push to achieve the goal of two states -- a Jewish state in Israel and a Palestinian state.

Israel on Tuesday pressed on with air strikes in Gaza that it says are in response to rocket fire by Hamas militants deep inside the Jewish state. Medical officials put Palestinian casualties at 383 dead and more than 800 wounded.

"We are very upset with what is going in Palestine. There is a very great need for change in U.S. foreign policy toward Israel and Palestine. We need to stop giving Israel a blank check," said another protester, Margaret Brown, 66.

The protesters were rebuffed when they tried to hand a letter signed by dozens of U.S. activist groups to a Secret Service agent guarding the access road to Obama's beachfront compound.

The Bush administration has backed Israel's actions in Gaza and demanded the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas stop firing rockets into Israel and agree to a lasting ceasefire.

In Washington, several hundred pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside the State Department, waving Palestinian flags and chanting slogans such as "free Palestine" while police looked on but took no action.

Natural Born Citizenship of Barack Obama

The following was posted by Ted in the comments section of this blog. I thought that he had some valid points. That is why I am using his post for this topic.

Ted said...
Challenge, can anyone prove this wrong?:–

1. Constitution Article II requires USA President to be “natural born citizen”.

2. BHO’s website admits his dad was Kenyan/British, not American, citizen when BHO was born.

3. BHO is therefore not a “natural born citizen” (irrespective of Hawaiian birth or whether he may be a 14th Amendment “citizen” of USA) — as confirmed in the Senate’s own McCain qualification resolution agreed to by BHO.

4. Supreme Court has already docketed two upcoming conferences, 1/9/09 and 1/16/09 — between dates Congress counts electoral votes (1/8/09) and Presidential inauguration (1/20/09) — to address Berg Case and fashion relief on BHO’s eligibility to be President.

5. Since no facts are in dispute, Supreme Court rules on Summary Judgment to enjoin BHO’s inauguration as President.

6. Therefore, BHO is not inaugurated as President.

7. Vice President Elect Biden is inaugurated Acting President under the 20th Amendment to serve until new President is determined — the procedure for which determination to be set out by Congress and/or the Supreme Court so long as in conformance with the Constitution.
